Therapeutic Writing Group Therapy
Have you ever considered group therapy as a potential method for growth and healing?
In these virtual (in Ontario) and in-person (in Hawkesbury) group sessions, we will be exploring skills, tools, and storytelling through expressive therapeutic writing. Each group is closed in order to offer a supportive place to discuss difficult experiences. There are no more than 6 participants in a group to allow each participant the room to grow.
During each session, participants will be asked to navigate difficult thoughts and feelings through guided writing exercises with peers and a qualified therapist. We will also be exploring certain skills and tools that may be helpful to use outside of the group to better encounter challenges and make space for joy.
The next upcoming group will be starting in March 2026!
Who is this for?
Anyone, regardless of writing experience, who has experienced trauma, anxiety, depression or loss. Everyone is welcome to join these therapeutic writing groups!
What to expect?
We will be using writing as our primary modality to explore emotions and experiences. Participants will receive real-life skills that can be taken away after the group sessions are done. During these groups, we will mindfully share our writing experiences with a supportive therapist. This is not a group for critical feedback.
These are the upcoming groups offered at multiple points during the year:
-
Starting March 2026! Schedule a consultation or sign-up for a 6-week virtual therapeutic writing group.
What does self-compassion mean to you? What does it mean to live with compassion and self-compassion? In this closed group, we will be exploring skills and strategies to live self-compassionately, while exploring deeper themes related to self-worth and self-kindness.
-
We will be exploring topics of loss and the experience of grieving in a nonjudgmental space. All topics of loss are welcome, including: new diagnoses, ending of relationships, death, and dying…
-
All those who have experienced deep wounds are welcome to explore themes and narratives related to living with trauma. Together, we will explore how to make space for the “mud” while growing the “lotus” - a life you want to live after trauma.
-
Queer folx are welcome in this affirmative space with the goal of finding community and support through transitioning, exploring identity, and complex feelings and thoughts associated with living queerly.
